Plagiarism Guidelines

A quick overview of the plagiarism and AI content detection steps to be followed by every corresponding Author.


Plagiarism Check

>> The plagiarism percentage of the paper should not exceed 15% and the AI detection percentage of paper should not exceed 19%.

>> We recommend Authors to use any plagiarism tools like Turnitin or Quillbot to check both plagiarism and AI content check. From the author side, check the plagiarism and AI before submitting the paper to ICETBDT Conference.

>> Once the author submit the paper with us, we will check the plagiarism from our side before sending it for the peer review. If the plagiarism detected is higher than the suggested limit, we will reject the paper and notify the author.

What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism refers to the intentional or accidental act of presenting someone else’s work, ideas, or words as if they were one’s own. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Duplicating text directly from a source without appropriate quotation or acknowledgement.
• Engaging in excessive paraphrasing of a source without providing sufficient acknowledgement.
• Using ideas, data, or figures from another source without giving credit to the original work.
• Self-plagiarism refers to the act of presenting previously published work as new.

What is an AI Content?

AI generated content is defined as a content that is created or altered by an AI application. This includes contents that is fully created by AI and the contents that is created by human author with the support of AI system.

Legality
It is illegal to publish AI generated papers/ articles. If the paper is created by the human author, we will consider it for the publication/ acceptance. A paper that is written by AI cannot be considered as the original work. Using AI tools/ software for writing the paper will be considered as a form of plagiarism.
